Dr Scott Davison

Dr Scott Davison is a Staff Specialist and Head of Department of Gastroenterology at the Liverpool Hospital and a conjoint lecturer at the University of NSW. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2004, and worked as a junior doctor at Wollongong and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He completed Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2010 with specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Liverpool Hospital. He has worked as a staff specialist at Liverpool Hospital since that time, and was the Network Director of Physician Training for the Liverpool Network for three years during this period.

Dr Davison is dedicated to the provision of high quality medical care to a broad population of the community with a focus on metabolic liver health, cancer prevention and management, and viral hepatitis. He has extensive clinical experience in chronic viral hepatitis B and C, and contributes to clinical research in the management of these conditions. He has been an educator and speaker in various capacities in relation to these topics, with a particular interest in chronic viral hepatitis in Indigenous Australians.In addition to his work in hepatology, Dr Davison contributes to inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology at Liverpool Hospital with expertise in gastroscopy and colonoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease and functional gastrointestinal issues.
